My warmest felicitations to the officers and members of the Ateneo Alumni Association of Metropolitan Washington D.C. (AAAMWDC) on the occasion of their 2007 Ateneo Blue Ball to be held at McLean Hilton Hotel, in McLean, Virginia on 20 October 2007.

I commend you for organizing this event which provides a venue for renewal of bonds built and for enhancing camaraderie among the membership of the AAAMWDC.

I also congratulate you for allocating the funds that will be raised in this event for the building of a 30-house village for underprivileged families in Metro Manila and for replenishing scholarship funds for poor but academically competent students.
